Dos and Don'ts of Credit Repair
-CONSOLIDATE YOUR CREDIT CARDS
The best way to consolidate your debt is to wrap it all together with your mortgage.
Either refinance the first mortgage or take out a second. Then cut up every credit card but one. Don't close the accounts...just get rid of any possibility of using the account again. This will take care of many of the above steps. You'll be eliminating credit card debt, reducing revolving usage, keeping your accounts open, not using your credit cards, and opening an installment loan. It's easily the best thing you can do for your credit. As a refinance specialist, I've seen people's credit scores go from 550 to 750 within MONTHS as a result of a refinance combined with payments made on time and credit cards not being used.
So give it a whirl. I guarantee that these few steps will improve your credit score. I've seen proof over and over with the clients I work with everyday. The good news is that the worse credit you have, the more opportunities you have to turn it around! Good luck!
